Will the wax seal stay securely on the envelope?

The adhesion is extremely strong. As long as the paper does not have a specialized waterproof coating, the molten wax integrates deeply with the paper fibers, ensuring a permanent bond. The seal is highly durable and will not detach under normal handling; it would only come off if the paper is forcibly torn.

How many wax beads do I need for one 25mm seal?

For a flawless 25mm seal, 3 to 4 standard octagonal wax beads are typically sufficient. If you prefer a more substantial, vintage aesthetic with a natural, overflowing edge, we recommend increasing the amount to 4 or 5 beads.

Why is my wax bubbling or turning black while heating?

Seeing bubbles in your wax? This usually happens if the wax is heated for a little too long. To get a smooth finish, try lifting the spoon away from the flame just as the wax is about to melt completely; the residual heat will finish the job for you!
A Little Soot? Don't worry if the bottom of your spoon turns slightly black—it's just a bit of natural soot from the candle flame. It’s a perfectly normal part of the process and can be easily wiped off with a tissue.

Why is the stamp sticking to the wax?

To ensure a perfect seal, please wait 10-15 seconds for the wax to fully cool and set before lifting the stamp.
Note that with consecutive use, the brass stamp head will naturally retain heat, which may slow down the cooling process. We recommend keeping an ice pack nearby to quickly cool the stamp head between uses, ensuring consistent results every time.

If the wax is stuck firmly, you can soak the seal head (after unscrewing the handle) in hot water for a few minutes to soften the wax, or apply gentle heat with a hair dryer; then, simply brush it lightly with a soft, old toothbrush to restore it to like-new condition.
